I have a camp in the Adirondacks on a white water river. There live a family of Great Blue Heron. Adult male must have a wing span of 6 ft. They glide over the river and fish in the pools that form along the banks. The camp is about 40 ft. above the river and is a great vantage point from which to watch them glide by. Ancient creatures.

The river is on the north side of the camp, the south side faces a meadow with song birds galore.
